The company’s objective is to support its Agents to develop and grow successful businesses, which in turn helps DiscovaCam. This win-win philosophy underpins our relationships with our Agents. We achieve this objective through the following measures: Internet Reference DiscovaCam provides an entry for each Agent in its Agent list on the Internet website, allowing customers to find Agents in their area. We provide a listing for the Agent’s name, location, telephone number, e-mail and the URL of their personal website, as desired by the Agent. This referencing service is a powerful marketing advantage for Agents’ businesses. Marketing Materials DiscovaCam develops a full range of marketing materials to assist the promotion of each product. Product brochures describe the features and benefits of each product. Technical white papers are periodically developed to illustrate the application of DiscovaCam technology to various operational situations. Corporate profile information is maintained and regularly updated, to supply the additional information frequently required for major bids and tenders. Agents can order printed marketing materials from DiscovaCam, or download files and print locally if preferred. DiscovaCam commits to regularly update its range of marketing materials and to keep the information up-to-date for each of its current products. Advertising DiscovaCam periodically advertises to support the development of the DiscovaCam brand. Individual advertising programmes are tailored to fit with DiscovaCam’s product development programme and market conditions. Further, the online presence of the DiscovaCam website provides ongoing brand support, while press releases support the brand’s profile. Local advertising is primarily the responsibility of the Agent. However, in cases where Agent advertising has brand development significance, DiscovaCam will consider a contribution towards advertising expenses, on a case by case basis. Merchandising Materials Merchandising materials, such as retail floor stands and trade show kits, have been developed to support Agent’s activities. Agents can order merchandising materials to support local sales. Trade Shows DiscovaCam supports its network of agents by participating in selected major trade shows. These trade shows enhance the DiscovaCam brand on a global basis, while providing local agents an opportunity to interact with DiscovaCam staff and to promote DiscovaCam technology to important clients. These trade shows are selected on a case by case basis, based on feedback to DiscovaCam from its Agents. Smaller, regional tradeshows can be attended in conjunction with one or more Agents, subject to the merits of the circumstances. Account Support Agents working on major corporate and government accounts frequently require support to secure the business. The DiscovaCam account team can support individual major accounts with presentations, product demonstrations and personal meetings with key decision makers. These meetings are negotiated between the Agent and DiscovaCam, on a case by case basis. DiscovaCam provides this support to aximize mutual success, while ensuring that the Agent retains control of the sales process. Supply Information From the time of placing an order, DiscovaCam tracks each individual unit through production, to shipment and to delivery. Agents can access this information and provide supply information to clients. In the unlikely event that a shipment is lost, or a production delay reschedules shipment, then the Agent is advised of the new schedule by e-mail. Technical Support The DiscovaCam technology is a mixture of proprietary hardware and software. DiscovaCam provides a warranty for its products, with the terms tailored for each product and market. Faulty hardware can be returned to DiscovaCam for repair and replacement. Faulty software, however, can be updated locally. An Agent can supply a software maintenance request to overcome a software defect, which will then trigger a software upgrade process. DiscovaCam will release later software versions for each product to eliminate software defects as they become apparent. Further, software can be enhanced to provide extended functionality. DiscovaCam welcomes feedback from its Agents regarding desired new features. In some cases, these features may be able to be incorporated in existing products in the form of a new software release, while in other cases this feedback will form the basis for new product releases. Product Training The DiscovaCam technology has been designed to be operated without specific training. However, more extensive product knowledge is beneficial for Agents, especially when dealing with major organisations and government. DiscovaCam hosts regional training sessions in selected locations for product training, allowing Agents to attend sessions at their convenience. Language The DiscovaCam technology is developed using the English language. Units prompt users in English language and all support material is prepared in English. However, DiscovaCam provides support for other languages on a market-by-market basis. Supported for Chinese is currently in progress and we anticipate support for other languages in due course. Agents with specific language requirements can approach DiscovaCam to determine feasibility of meeting market requirements. Access to ongoing technical development for future opportunities DiscovaCam has an ongoing development programme to innovate and raise the standards of security equipment. Agents have access to confidential briefings explaining DiscovaCam’s development roadmap incorporating requested features and new innovations. Agents can use this information to more effectively plan to meet customer requirements. Legal Protection DiscovaCam protects its competitive advantage in the market through an ongoing innovation process. However, it is inevitable that DiscovaCam’s technology will be reverse-engineered by competitors.
