DiscovaCam FLU The DiscovaCam FLU (Fixed Local Unit) is designed to give a headache to security threats. The FLU is a simple to install, fixed unit designed to protect an area of value. Security agencies can use the FLU to frustrate reconnaissance of value locations by criminals or terrorists. Commercial and Public Sector users can protect corporate secrets or reputation from people seeking images of customers, staff, intellectual property or other sensitive materials. Individuals can use the FLU to protect sensitive areas where they wish to ensure privacy for the whole household. DiscovaCam has packaged the FLU to look like common electrical fittings. The small size and non-descript colour and shape of the DiscovaCam FLU provide a degree of camouflage. Multiple FLU’s can be configured to provide a wider area of coverage and to provide triangulation information to more accurately estimate the position the offending device, enabling security to detain a person carrying a hidden camera into a restricted area. Further, the DiscovaCam FLU can be connected to a computer to download reporting data and to update software, ensuring that each DiscovaCam FLU can incorporate the latest advances in camera detection capability.
