There are forms that are used by DiscovaCam.com to gather information required for legal reasons, where the information is available to the public we do notify you by placing a NOTE next to that field, legally we are not allowed to accept a trust or any other name that is not a "legal entity". We do require your legal name, again as part of our protection service. We do need a point of contact, one that you are likely to receive; and be able to acknowledge weekly - this is a legal requirement of both the constitution of the company and a requirement of New Zealand law. Third Party: We do use external vendors, and where possible they have either been selected because they appear to be able to be trusted, or they are getting replaced soon with our own services. The following companies were selected because we have checked them out personally, and we believe their services and methods are supplied in such a manner that gives us confidence in their ability to supply and not abuse. The test criteria? We are VERY aware of the privacy issues, probably more than most. "Would we TRUST this entity to take any of my information, now and in the future? " If NO, then find an alternative, including in-house! If YES, they are listed below! Our EFT (Electronics Fund Transfer) supplier: (nameless - they don't need the free advertising!), They supply you with an invoice for each sale, they do not store your card number (you can ask them to do it, if you must). There is no way their system will worry if anybody does "break in", My card details and other supplied information just aren't kept on any machine. As soon as the transaction is accepted (or declined) the transactional data is kept and added to their records but the transaction personal information is destroyed! NOTE:- They do keep the transaction number and can trace the transaction back through the bank records if required, it will take time (days) and DOES cost money (tens of dollars)! More to come! Advertising You will notice, as you go through the site, the lack of advertising. We will be supplying adverts in the short term, BUT they will have been checked out by us prior to advertising and will NOT be swap type banner ads, and will be placed in the Adverts section of this web site. (The only exception is the banner ads / links we have set-up for our obligations). All ad's are banned from the company web sites. This is done for a number of reasons: I like going to sites where I can find the information I am after - not lots of flashing, so I assume that most people would like a refreshing change. It detracts from the object of the exercise, - informing the customers and potential company buyers of information relevant to their potential sale. It makes it impossible to compare pages between alternative products, if the middle of one page is now flashing someone else's site at you. We cannot keep the pages updated automatically if there are obstructions (which we cannot remove, due to contractual obligations we know nothing about!). And probably most important - We cannot control who is collecting what information, on whom, where or why!
